Partners at law firms Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (U.S.) and Denton Wilde Sapte (U.K.) unanimously voted to combine their practices, the firms announced today.
The new firm, SNR Denton, will have over 1,400 lawyers and professionals in 18 countries.
Based in New York and London, SNR Denton will focus on eight core area practices such as financial institutions/capital markets, transportation, government, healthcare and life sciences, and others.
SNR Chairman Elliott Portnoy and Denton CEO Howard Morris will be co-CEOs of the combined practice.
"The response of our clients since we shared our intent to combine has been exceptional," said Portnoy. "Our integration provides us with the opportunity to have lawyers working together seamlessly on shared clients," Morris added.
The law firms will focus on the merger for the next few months.
