Rhode Island Student Loan Authority Issues $33mn ABS

The Rhode Island Student Loan Authority is marketing a new student loan ABS. The deal offers offer $18 million of 2011 series A bonds and remarkets $15 million of 2088 series B-5 bonds.

Moody's Investors Service has affirmed the ' Aa2'/'VMIG 1' letter of credit-backed rating to the Rhode Island Student Loan Authority Student Loan Program Revenue Bonds, 2008 Series 2011 B-5.

The bonds will be sold as fully registered bonds without coupons. Morgan Stanley is the lead underwriter for the 2011 series A bonds. The bank will be co-managing the remarketing of the 2008 series B-5 bonds with Citigroup Global Markets.
