RBS Hires Three for Credit Strategy Team

RBS Securities has hired a portfolio manager from Alliance Bernstein and two analysts from Cantor Fitzgerald to serve on its credit strategy team within its global banking and markets division.

Edward Marrinan, who joins RBS as head of U.S. macro credit strategy, was a senior portfolio manager at Alliance Bernstein for the global wealth management business. Prior to that, he was at JPMorgan Securities and Bruyette & Woods/Thomson Bankwatch.

Ian Jaffe joins RBS from Cantor Fitzgerald as a managing director covering banks and financial institutions. At Cantor he was a managing director and analyst covering U.S. depository institutions, finance companies and independent broker-dealers. Jaffe has held senior credit analyst positions with JPMorgan, Bear Stearns and Morgan Keegan.

Seth Levine, who joins RBS as a senior vice president covering insurance companies and real estate investment trusts, was at Cantor as an analyst covering the insurance and REITS sectors.

Previously, he was part of the investment-grade debt research team at Bank of America. He has also been with Prudential.

All three hires will be based in Stamford, Conn and report to John Richards, who is head of strategy for RBS.
