OCC prepping FIN 46 reg relief proposal

At a panel entitled “Perspectives on FIN 46” today at Standard & Poor’s SF seminar in Orlando, Fla., Greg Coleman of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency acknowledged that his agency and other regulatory bodies are likely going to put together a proposal during the next month outlining their plan to supply temporary capital relief to U.S. banks impacted by FIN 46, a spokesman for S&P announced.
