McKee adds CDO/derivatives all-star

McKee Nelson this week added another round of hires to its first rate structured finance team. Larry Isaacson, know in the industry as one of the top attorneys in CDOs and derivative structuring, joined McKee from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson.

Moving over with Isaacson are several of his group members, including Andrew Kwok, Eric Rubenfeld, and the rest of his team of associates and legal assistants.

McKee began a rapid ramp up a little more than a year ago, and has since grown its New York practice to nearly 50 lawyers, cherry picking top pros from several rival law firms, including, most recently, Ed De Sear from Orrick Herrington.

"In many respects, Larry and his group complete the initial building effort of our group," said Reed Auerbach, who was one of the firm's first big hires in early 2002, joining McKee from Strook & Strook & Lavan.
