South Korean credit card issuer LG Card's creditors and affiliates have agreed to a $966 million rescue package for the distressed company, according to published reports. LG Card was one of the first Korean issuers to enter the cross-border ABS market with its Credipia 2001-1 class A transaction, which was wrapped by Financial Security Assurance.
