Henderson Global Investors named Roni Laserson director of hedge fund business development for the Americas, Financial News reports.
Donald Pepper, head of hedge funds, said the move was aimed at increasing the firm’s presence among U.S. fund of hedge fund investors.
The new hire will focus on the three European long/short equity funds managed by Stephen Peak, along with global currency fund.
Laserson, who was formerly a vice president in global distribution at Citadel Investment, will work alongside Mark Toomey, who targets the pension fund, foundation and endowment markets in the country.
