FDIC Meets Next Week On Securitization Safe Harbor

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. will be meeting next Tuesday about the proposal to offer banks the safe harbor for securitizations.

As part of the its agenda for next Tuesday, the FDIC said it will be making a resolution on the rulemaking on the FDIC's treatment as conservator or receiver of financial assets transferred by an insured depository institution in a securitization or participation.

The meeting will be held at the FDIC offices in Washington, D.C.

The Board meeting will be Webcast live through the Internet. It will be later made available on-demand a week after the event.
