Dechert has named M. Holland West as a partner in the financial services practice group of its New York office, the firm announced today.
West was previously the head of the global hedge fund, private equity, derivatives, and structured finance practices at Shearman & Sterling.
He was also a former partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft where he was the head of its asset management and derivatives practices. Additionally, he advised Goldman Sachs on its capital markets, derivatives, and commodity businesses.
