Craig Sedmak, head of CMBS trading at the Royal Bank of Scotland, has left the bank to pursue interests outside of financial services, according to people familiar with the situation.
Sedmak joined RBS in August of 2008. Before RBS, he was a senior managing director on the Bear Stearns CMBS trading desk where he supervised CMBS and CRE CDO structuring, new issue syndicate and secondary trading. He joined Bear in 1997.
Aside from his trading responsibilities, he also oversaw the price/spread marking and credit surveillance of Bear's CMBS and CRE CDO repo positions.
Before Bear, he worked in CMBS trading at Smith Barney.
