Bank of America hired Donald Whitmore as managing director and senior trader of Loan Credit Default Swaps (LCDS). Whitmore will be stationed in Charlotte, North Carolina and will report to Ed Hamilton.

The reason behind the hire was the growth in the LCDS market as evidenced by the increased number of investors who are interested in these products.

Whitmore moved from Wachovia Securities, where he was a managing director in fixed income markets and was head of the proprietary trading group..
