Barclays Capital adds to its mortgage strategy team

Barclays Capital has hired Art Frank as a director and mortgage strategist. Barclays announced today that Frank will be responsible for passthrough and other MBS sector analysis. Based in New York, he will report to Glenn Boyd, director and head of mortgage strategy in the Americas.

Frank joins Barclays from Nomura Securities where he was a director and head of mortgage research since 1998. Before his stint at Nomura, he was a senior vce president in the mortgage research group at HSBC. Frank started his career as a lecturer at The Wharton School, Universityof Pennsylvania.

"This appointment reflects the firm's commitment to provide clients with the highest quality of mortgage research, enabling them to make the most informed investment decisions," Boyd said on the appointment. "Art is a recognized expert in this field and his MBS knowledge and in-depth experience will complement our product offering."
