Assured Guaranty (UK) had tapped Ralph Eley as managing director in its infrastructure finance group. Eley will report to Senior Managing Director Marc Bajer, and will be responsible for managing deal origination, as well as overseeing the international infrastructure finance underwriting team which includes general infrastructure, renewable energy, regulated utilities and public private partnerships in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Previously, Eley was director and head of continental European infrastructure and utilities origination at Ambac Assurance (UK). Before that, he was director of infrastructure investments at the Bank of Scotland.
