Scott Colbourne was named senior portfolio manager of Sprott Asset Management, a subsidiary of Sprott.
Sprott Asset Management manages the Sprott family of mutual funds, hedge funds and discretionary accounts.
Colbourne has established a track record of managing a range of investment solutions, including fixed-income and balanced funds, as well as foreign exchange portfolios and fixed-income hedge funds for some of Canada's leading asset managers.
He started his career at the Bank of Canada and has accumulated more than 22 years of investment experience.
Before joining Sprott Asset Management, Colbourne was a senior fixed-income portfolio manager at TD Asset Management (TDAM), where he was part of a team that managed all of the firm's active fixed-income institutional, retail and private client assets. He was also a member of the TDAM's asset allocation committee.
Previously, Colbourne held a senior position at AGF Funds, where he managed fixed-income mandates and co-managed balanced funds.
