Reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter appointed Martin Pepper as head of its London-based marine and energy practice effective Aug. 16.
Pepper, who will be based in London, will be managing director and report to Andrew Marcell, CEO of global practices and head of placement strategy.
Pepper was previously a director of the broking firm Walsham Brothers and Co., where he worked for 30 years and was responsible for marine reinsurance business.

" Martin’s long experience in the Lloyds and London marketplace, combined with his extensive knowledge of global reinsurance markets, will be extremely valuable assets as we build on our capabilities in this specialty line of business. We are committed continually to enhancing our capabilities, and the appointment of Martin to our London office is a further demonstration of this commitment.”
