Distressed credit portfolio manager Michael Holmberg has joined Neuberger Berman Group, leaving behind the firm he founded.
Holmberg will work on Neuberger¹s Leveraged Asset Management product, which will begin offering distressed credit securities.
³Michael Holmberg¹s experience and knowledge fit in nicely with our existing capabilities and we look forward to working with him to add value for our clients," Ann Benjamin, co-head of Leveraged Asset Management with Neuberger, noted in a prepared statement.
He founded Newberry Capital Management, a Chicago-based firm focused on managing distressed credit investments for institutional investors. In his new role, he will remain in Chicago. A team of four professionals from Newberry Capital is also joining the firm.
