Moody's Investors Service has hired Andrew Jones, who was formerly from DBRS, for a newly created position to help the rating agency boost its efforts in structured finance research.
Jones was hired as a vice president reporting to Douglas Lucas, who is group managing director for research at the firm.
The new position is part of the rating agency's larger efforts to devote additional resources to and boost the quality of the structured finance research that it provides to its clients, according to officials from the firm.
At DBRS. Jones led the U.S. conduit, financial guaranty, and mortgage insurance group. Before DBRS, he was with Security Guaranty Holdings, Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co., and Moody’s.
