Karen Weaver Retires From Deutsche Bank

Karen Weaver, former global head of securitization research at Deutsche Bank Securities, officially retired last week after two years of doing part time work with the bank.

Weaver's, who was the head of ABS research at Credit Suisse before joining Deutsche in 2000, retirement was announced last week via an internal memo.

The securitization research team at Deutsche will continue to report into Steve Pollard, managing director and head of global markets research in the U.S.. 

The team includes research analysts Katie Reeves and Ellen Callahan who cover the consumer ABS classes, Ying Shen who covers non-agencies, and Richard Parkus and Harris Trifon who cover CMBS.

Meanwhile, former director of MBS research at Deutsche Art Frank has also left the firm a couple of weeks ago. As of press time, ASR has no details as to the circumstances of his departure.

Prior to Deutsche, Frank was at Barclays Capital where he was hired as a director and mortgage strategist in October 2006. He joined Barclays from Nomura Securities where he was also a director and was head of mortgage research since 1998.

Before his stint at Nomura, he was a senior vice president in the mortgage research group at HSBC.
