Guggenheim Securities Expands Commercial Real Estate Unit

Guggenheim Securities, a Guggenheim Partners subsidiary, hired Robert Brennan and Anand Gajjar for its commercial real estate finance group as senior managing directors.

Brennan will lead the unit and report to Ron Iervolino, head of the fixed-income sales and trading arm of Guggenheim Securities.

The firm's commercial real estate finance group, which was formed in 2009 as a trading platform for CMBS and related products, originates, trades, structures and distributes a broad range of commercial real estate debt instruments.

“We believe there are significant opportunities in the commercial real estate space, and given the relationships, skill sets and experience of this team, we are now well-positioned to capitalize on those opportunities,” Iervolino said. “It is a pleasure to welcome Rob and Anand to the team.”

Brennan joins Guggenheim from Credit Suisse where he spent 18 years and was the global head of the real estate finance and securitization business. He has served in many roles including trading, structuring and investment banking.

Gajjar also joins Guggenheim from Credit Suisse, where he spent 15 years and was most recently a senior member of the real estate finance and securitization group. During his time at Credit Suisse, Gajjar launched and built-out numerous commercial real estate businesses and products. Before joining Credit Suisse, Gajjar worked at Fitch Ratings and at Kenneth Leventhal.
