Benoist de Vimal has joined Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) as director and head of origination for aviation in the Americas, the company announced Wednesday.
Based in New York, de Vimal will be responsible for managing aviation origination, including supporting MUFG's originate-to-distribute business model through capital markets and syndication. He will also facilitate effective cross-sell with MUFG’s product partners and report to Oliver Trauchessec, the firm's co-head of global aviation.
He joins the firm from Natixis, where he held a number of positions and was most recently an executive director of the Aviation Finance group. He arranged, syndicated and restructured a wide variety of aircraft finance transactions.
Before joining Natixis, de Vimal was an assistant project manager at Renault Trucks and an economist at BNP Paribas.
