CRE Finance Council Confirms Leadership for Its Five Forums

The board of governors of the CRE Finance Council has confirmed the leadership teams of the organization's five initial forums.

These forums represent market constituencies that drive the global commercial real estate finance industry.

The Council's five forums include investment-grade bondholders, multifamily lenders, portfolio lenders, servicers, and securities and loan investors. Each forum will be led by a chair, a chair-elect and, after the first year,  a past chair.

Two representatives from each of the forums will serve on the CRE Finance Council Policy Committee, which forms policy positions. The chair will serve on the board of governors.

William Moretti of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. will chair the investment grade bondholders forum and Tricia Hall of Paulson & Co. has been named  chair-elect.

David Brickman of Freddie Mac will chair the multifamily lenders forum and Jeff Day of Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage is chair-elect.

The portfolio lenders forum will be chaired by Robert Karner  of CreXus Investment Corp. and the chair-elect will be Rick Coppola of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association.

Chairing the servicers forum will be Dan Bober of Wells Fargo. The chair-elect will be Erin Stafford  of DBRS.

The chair on the securities and loan investors forum will be Spencer Haber  of H/2 Capital Partners and the forum's chair elect will be Richard Avidon  of Deutsche Bank.

The inaugural forum leadership teams listed today begin their terms immediately and will serve until June 2011. The terms commence and end each June, together with the CRE Finance Council's June Convention.
