The fixed income research organization Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute, which focuses on helping the global fixed-income market advance the climate and nature transaction, has a new chief executive officer, Justine Leigh-Bell.
Leigh-Bell will lead AFII's strategic direction, advance its research agenda and collaborate with asset owners and managers to integrate climate and nature factors into fixed-income portfolio construction and risk management, according to the announcement from AFII.
"Under Justine's leadership, AFII will continue to translate research and market analysis into practical tools, investor guidance and engagement strategies," according to the statement from AFII.
The London-based organization publishes research that coves North America and meets with investment teams to discuss its climate performance and portfolio analytics platform Co2liseum. It has not established a team there yet, however.
"AFII was founded to help fixed income investors navigate the global transition with confidence, while driving the decarbonization of the real economy," Leigh-Bell said. "I'm honored to build on Ulf's vision and work with our exceptional team and partners to scale the tools, analysis and engagement that investors need to act at pace and at scale."
AFII's founder Ulf Erlandsson plans to return to the investing sector of the industry, joining the Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund (AP4) and will maintain his relationship with AFII's as a board member.
