Michelle Herman, noted structured finance lawyer, has joined Mayer Brown as a partner in its global trade finance practice. She joins the New York office, the company announced.
Herman joins the firm from Jones Day, where she worked for about 16 years, and advised on securitizations, equipment leasing and aircraft finance, according to her LinkedIn profile.
"Michelle is a highly sophisticated structured finance lawyer who brings a wealth of in-demand experience that is critical to our clients active in securitizations and similar financings of trade receivables and other assets," according to a statement from Zachary Carrier, a partner in Mayer Brown's global trade finance practice. "As client demand for sophisticated financing solutions continues to grow, Michelle will further enhance our ability to deliver the exceptional service and innovative guidance our clients expect from Mayer Brown."
She has advised borrowers and lenders on domestic and cross-border financing transactions across a broad range of asset classes, including trade receivables, commercial loans, installment sales contracts, auto and equipment loans and leases, trademarks and other structured finance products, according to Mayer Brown.
