Broadpoint Expands Fixed-Income Staff

Broadpoint Capital, a broker-dealer subsidiary of Broadpoint Securities Group, hired Matthew Swope and Bradley Bennett to the firm’s debt capital markets division, both as vice presidents and fixed-income analysts.


Swope joins Broadpoint with nine years of experience in the high yield bond, leveraged loan and distressed debt markets. Most recently, he was a research analyst, portfolio manager and partner at Washington Corner Capital Management, which is a distressed and credit-based investment firm. Before Washington Corner Capital, Swope spent six years at WR Huff Asset Management as a research analyst and portfolio manager.
 
Bennett most recently spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a vice president in the high yield distressed investing group. He joined Goldman in 2001 where he initially worked in the bank loan distressed investing group.
