BNP Paribas Adds to Its North American Prime Brokerage Business

BNP Paribas  announced several appointments in its prime brokerage business. 

Jeffrey Mettel has joined the capital introduction team as a director in New York and Afi Lowery, also a director, moves to manage the capital introduction effort for the Southwest Region based in Dallas, Texas. Both report to Emma Sugarman, Head of capital introduction, Americas.

BNP Paribas' prime brokerage capital introduction group is a vital component of the prime brokerage business. It Offers individualized service to hedge fund clients as well as numerous opportunities to meet institutional investors. The team provides intelligent introductions and a wide breadth of activities and events with a focus on pension funds, foundations, endowments, consultants, fund of funds and family offices.

Prior to joining the firm, Mettel was co-founder of Muirfield Capital Management, a fund of hedge funds. Before Muirfield, he spent several years in investment banking for firms including Prudential Securities and the Jordan, Edmidton Group.

Lowery has been with the BNP Paribas prime brokerage team since 2000 as a director.
