Amherst Securities Group Hires MBS Salesperson

Amherst Securities Group hired Blake Myers as a salesperson. Myers, who is based in Amherst’s New York City office, was formerly at UBS, where he was one of the investment bank’s MBS salespeople.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Blake to Amherst,” said Sean Dobson, CEO of Amherst Securities Group. “During his tenure at UBS, where he worked in institutional sales for the past six years, Blake developed a reputation as one of the industry’s top salespeople of mortgage backed securities and other derivative products while managing several top-tier accounts. Those relationships, along with his extensive experience working across a diverse range of industries, make him a great addition to our already strong sales team.”

Myers has 16 years of experience in the bond business to Amherst. While at UBS, he managed a sales team that worked with clients in different sectors such as insurance companies, money managers and hedge funds.

Before working at UBS, Myers held a similar role at JPMorgan from 2000 until 2003. From 1993 until 2000, he was an MBS salesman at Nomura Securities.
