SFIG & IMN to Hold Conference in Vegas, Jan. 22-24

Newly-formed trade association the Structured Finance Investment Group (SFIG) will co-host an industry conference with Information Management Network (IMN) January 22-24 2014, according to a couple of sources involved. The venue will be The Cosmopolitan.

It will be apparent to anyone in the structured finance industry that the date poses a challenge to the annual conference of the American Securitization Forum (ASF), already scheduled for January 26-29 at the Aria Resort & Casino, also in Vegas.

"This is hardly a surprise given that SFIG has made it clear all along that it was planning to do a conference," said ASF Executive Director Tom Deutsch. "Registration for ASF 2014 is open and we have begun to accept sponsorships and registrations. Planning for the event is well underway.”

The SFIG was formed from a group of ASF defectors mid last month.
