Williams Capital Hires Saber Partners CEO

Boutique invesment bank Williams Capital Group (WCG) hired Joseph  Fichera, who is chief executive officer of Saber Partners, as senior advisor to the firm.

In this position, Fichera will advise WCG on various securities and capital markets related initiatives involving the Company’s corporate and municipal client service efforts including mergers and acquisitions.

In 2000,  Fichera founded Saber Partners, a financial advisory firm for corporate and public sector entities that specializes in the power industry and corporate and municipal finance issues, including auction rate securities and securitized debt. He will continue as Saber’s chief executive officer and senior managing director.

Fichera has had a long career in financial services and investment banking, previously as an officer at Smith Barney followed by managing director posts at both Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities.

He has been an advisor to large and small entities, such as the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Governor of California, Texas Instruments, Dow Corning, Hendrick Automotive, Luby’s Restaurants, and TransTech Pharma, among others.

He also served as a member of the board of directors (audit committee) of the Czech & Slovak American Enterprise Fund.
