U.S. Bank hires Alan Flanagan to oversee global investment service

Alan Flanagan has joined U.S. Bank as head of its global investment services division, overseeing global fund services and global corporate trust.

The global team combines industry-leading expertise to offer customized product solutions for clients in structured finance, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), alternative investments, as well as other investment services including exchange-traded products, corporate, escrow and municipal trust services, according to a statement from U.S. Bank.

"Alan is widely regarded as a collaborative leader with a forward-thinking mindset and a strong commitment to client outcomes," according to a statement from Stephen Philipson, vice chair of U.S. Bank's wealth, corporate, commercial and institutional banking. He added that Flanagan's track record in leading high-performing teams will build on the success of its investment services business.

Previously, Flanagan worked at BNY for almost two decades, according to the company. Most recently, he was global head of client coverage for BNY's asset servicing division and oversaw client relationship management.

He held other senior leadership roles across asset servicing, fund services and alternative investments at the bank. He also led global businesses and drove sustainable growth.
