Structured Finance Hire Bolsters SNR Denton's London Team

SNR Denton hired Edward Hickman as a partner in its banking and finance team.

Hickman joins the firm from Linklaters where he spent the last six years as a partner in their structured finance team advising major banks and corporates.

Hickman is the fifth partner appointment to the firm’s London office recently and follows shortly after Jim Baird was announced as a financial services and funds partner last month from Dechert and Will Gunston’s arrival as a restructuring partner in October.

He is a leading structured finance partner, with expertise in loan portfolio sales, securitization, regulatory capital, commercial real estate financing, project bonds, debt capital markets and derivatives transactions. He has extensive experience of advising banks and corporates on structured funding solutions and deleveraging and has also acted for private equity and distressed debt purchasers on such sales.

“Our banking and financial institutions practice is one of the areas ear-marked for growth in our strategy review alongside dispute resolution, TMT, energy, infrastruture and project finance," said Brandon Ransley, U.K. managing partner at SNR Denton. "[Hickman's] appointment is further evidence of our intention to move swiftly and decisively to implement the findings of that review and our ability to attract partners of the highest calibre.”
