SJ Berwin New Partner Heads Structured Finance Practice

SJ Berwin promoted associate Vanessa Therrode to partner and head of its structured finance practice.

Therrode takes over from outgoing partner Brian Carne. She will head up a team that includes two associates plus one Islamic finance specialist. Therrode moved with Carne to SJ Berwin in 2005 and has effectively been heading the structured finance team since Carne’s departure in the summer.

Therrode’s focuses on securitization, derivatives, structured products and repackaging, with current clients including AnaCap and Barclays Capital.
