Seyfarth Shaw Adds Securities Litigation Partner

Seyfarth Shaw hired Frank Burke for the firm’s Los Angeles offices as a litigation partner.

Burke was previously at Steptoe & Johnson where he was a partner and national practice group leader of the securities litigation and enforcement practice group. He previously was an assistant U.S. attorney for five years, focusing on white collar and economic crimes.

Burke’s practice covers complex civil and criminal litigation and trials in securities litigation. Other areas of litigation he is involved in are enforcement, commercial and real estate, merger and acquisition, professional malpractice as well as white collar criminal defense. He also works on internal investigations, compliance or antitrust investigations as well as business torts and unfair competition, including consumer and investor class actions.

“[Burke] brings a complementary wealth of knowledge to the firm, and he will serve a key role among our west coast group of litigators,” said Katherine Perrelli, chair of Seyfarth Shaw’s national litigation department. “His experience in the securities and financial services, white collar defense and internal investigations, complex commercial, real estate and antitrust areas adds multiple dimensions to the firm’s menu of services for both existing and future clients, and his depth of experience will bolster our department as a whole.”
