S&P Names Wiemken Global Head of Structured Fin

Standard & Poor’s has named Jim Wiemken as senior managing director and global head of structured finance, according to an internal memo.

Wiemken is a 15-year veteran of S&P; most recently he was lead analytical manager for covered bonds, structured credit and CMBS based in London.

In his new role, which he assumes July 1, Wiemken will directly manage all aspects of the structured finance business in North America and provide leadership and coordination for the global structured finance department. He will be based in New York and will report to Paul Coughlin, global head of analytics and operations.

Reporting to Wiemken will be Mike Binz (U.S. asset backed securities), Peter Kambeseles (U.S. structured credit), Grace Osborne (U.S. mortgages) and Andrea Quirk (structured finance data and technology). In addition, Vera Chaplin (Asia Pacific), Juan Pablo de Mollein (emerging markets) and Michelle Weston (Europe, Middle East, Africa) will report to their respective regional managers, but will also have an accountability to Jim.
