NewOak Capital appointed Janet Christensen as managing director of marketing, covering institutional clients such as private equities and financial institutions in New York and London.

Janet Christensen co-founded Tegris, a privately held firm specializing in M&A and asset management. Before Tegris, Christensen had an over 17 year stint at The Blackstone Group as chief of staff for CEO Stephen A. Schwarzman’s office overseeing day-to-day operations; assisting in raising of multiple private equity funds; maintaining client and investor relations; and internal and external communications.

Prior to Blackstone, Christensen worked with the chairman & CEO of NW Ayer, which is America’s first advertising agency, in itss Los Angeles office.
