Morgan Lewis has hired Brandon Figg, previously a senior special counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission, as a partner in its structured transactions practice. He will be based out of the Washington, D.C., office.
At Morgan Lewis, Figg will advise financial institutions, issuers, arrangers and underwriters on asset-backed securities (ABS) deals, collateralized loan obligations among other transactions, Morgan Lewis announced. He will also advise clients on adopting and implementing policies and procedures under the SEC's Conflict of Interest Rule.
In another role at the SEC, Brandon was again special counsel in the office of structured finance, and he was an attorney advisor in the SEC's division of trading and markets, the law firm announced.
Figg joins the firm just as the firm has added several lawyers to the ABS practice, including partners David Sylofski in the New York office and Dasha Sobornova and Merryn Craske in London.
