Moody’s Launches Research Service for Covered Bond Market

Moody’s Investors Service today launched a new subscription research service for the global covered bond market.

The service will provide Moody’s comprehensive program-level research accompanied by pertinent commentary on recent market developments. It will also supply customers with data that can be used to effectively evaluate their covered bond portfolio, such as credit research on bank sponsors and similar independent institutions.

Subscribers will have access to the ratings and analysis of over 220 covered bond programs throughout Europe, Canada, and the U.S. in addition to receiving routine performance summaries and Moody’s pre-sale reports.

The service will provide European investors the ability to track developments in the swiftly developing covered bond market in a timely manner.

“The research service balances the needs of fundamental and structured finance investors," says Juan Pablo Soriano, managing director of Moody’s EMEA structured finance team. "Publishing individual indicators, such as cover pool losses, enables comparisons between programs from specific bank sponsors and in different countries."
