Mission Capital Advisors hired Jason Cohen as a managing director in the firm's New York office.
In his new job, Cohen will originate loan sales, trade loans and create loan sale financing platforms.
Before Mission Capital, Cohen spent five years with the Ackman Ziff Real Estate Group as a managing director. While there, his volume of deals completed was over $3 billion and he originated and placed senior debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and equity for all types of real estate, such as land, land development, and ground up construction for condominiums, multifamily and hotels. He also secured bridge financing for acquisitions, and permanent financing for apartment buildings, office, shopping centers, hotels, and warehouse and industrial properties.
Before Ackman Ziff, Cohen had a two-year stint with Carlton Advisory Services as a senior vice president, and three years with Philips International as director of acquisitions and finance. Previous to those roles, Cohen held numerous positions with Liberty Equities, Apple Bank, RTC, Omni Funding, Sybedon Corp. and several other companies.
