MFC Adds Two to Bond Team

MFC Global Investment Management (MFC) has expanded its global multi-sector fixed-income team with the additions of Rebecca Braeu and Thomas Goggins.

Braeu has been an economist at MFC, a role in which she conducted extensive research on the U.S. and global economy. Before joining the firm, she was an assistant professor of Economics at the College of the Holy Cross. As part of the global bond team, Braeu will cover emerging markets.

Meanwhile, Goggins joins MFC from Fontana Capital where he was co-founder and director of research for the Global Long/Short Financial Services Fund. In his new role, he will serve as a portfolio manager. His also responsibilities include asset allocation and capital structure research.

“Both Rebecca and Tom bring accomplished track records to our global multi-sector bond team and we are pleased to welcome them,” said Daniel Janis, senior portfolio manager on the team. “Attracting superior investment talent is a high priority for us as we continue to expand our capabilities.”

The duo will be part of the team based in Boston and report to Janis.
