Mayer Brown Hires Securitization Partners

Mayer Brown announced this week that Richard Todd and David O'Connor joined its banking & finance group in London as partners.

Todd, a former Mayer Brown securitization lawyer, rejoins the firm from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he has been a partner in their banking & capital markets group. He also worked as director in the structured capital markets legal team at Lloyds Banking Group, following his tenure at Mayer Brown.

Todd specializes in securitizations across a wide range of asset classes, including trade receivables, auto loans and residential mortgage loans. He also has strong trade finance and asset based lending capabilities and advises both banks and companies.

O'Connor is also a securitization specialist and joins the firm from Allen & Overy.  Before Allen & Overy, O’Connor was a banker at Deutsche Bank. His practice includes RMBS, CMBS, covered bonds and CMBS restructuring

He will work with Ashley Katz, Devi Shah and litigation partner Alistair Graham, who joined the firm in January 2013, on CMBS restructurings.
