The recently formed Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) announced that its first management team has taken root. The industry organization stems from the merger between the Bond Market Association and the Securities Industry Association executed earlier this year.
SIFMA is led by Co-CEOs Micah Green and Marc Lackritz. The new management team consists of seven executive positions, some of which are manned by co-heads, and all report directly to Green and Lackritz. Currently seven persons were named to these positions including: Randy Snook, senior managing director, executive vice president; Ira Hammerman senior managing director, general counsel; Richard Hunt, senior managing director, government relations; Christina Martin, senior managing director, strategic communications; Hugh Moore, senior managing director, finance and administration; and two senior managing directors of research were named, Interim Co-Heads Frank Fernandez and Michael Decker.
One position, senior managing director, SIFMA Europe & Asia, remained vacant at the time of the Dec. 6 announcement.
