The ASR Scorecards database's preliminary public lead manager rankings for 3Q12 showed JPMorgan Securities taking the top spot with $22.7 billion sold and an 18.5% market share. It maintained its ranking from 3Q11, when it had a 15.4% market share and $8.9 billion sold. ASR's 3Q12 numbers are as of Sept. 25, while its 3Q11 numbers are as of Sept. 30, 2011.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch was second in the 3Q12 preliminary numbers with $13.8 billion sold and a market share of 11.2%. BofA Merrill, although maintaining its place, sold much less in 3Q11 with $8.8 billion and a market share of 15.4%.
Grabbing the third place for 3Q12 is Barclays. Rising from the No. 6 spot in 3Q11, the bank now has a market share of 11% and sold $13.5 billion.
Citigroup Global Markets and RBS Securities round out the top five for ASR's preliminary 3Q12 results.
