Joel Weinberger has joined Latham & Watkins as a partner in the firm's structured finance practice, where he will advise clients on securitization, structured finance, secured lending and receivables transactions, the company announced.
Weinberger rejoins the firm in its Chicago office.
Weinberger's background includes complex structured deals, around an array of investment and securitization structures, including consumer loans, healthcare receivables, credit card receivables and equipment loans and leases, according to a statement from Latham & Watkins.
This is Weinberger's second period at Latham & Watkins, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was an associate attorney between 2017 and 2018, before he left for Kirkand & Ellis. He started as an associate and was eventually made a corporate partner.
"Joel joining our team—at this consequential time when client demand for innovative, bespoke financings is growing significantly—enhances our unique ability to deliver integrated corporate and finance advice on complex structures," according to Matt Hays, global co-chair of Latham's structured finance practice.
