Three years after the onset of the financial crisis, securitization market players are now focusing more on finding different restructuring options for ABS deals, according to the Henderson Global Investors' structured products team.
Most of Hederson's focus in the early stages of the crisis were portfolio liquidations. They also assisted securitization participants to stabilize and manage their distressed leveraged vehicles and/or their asset portfolios.
That focus, they said, has shifted toward providing more specific advice on how to rehabilitate and restructure ABS issuance vehicles as deal sponsors become more proactive in their approach.
Henderson's structured products team offers advice to a wide range of market participants such as trustees, receivers as well as a broad range of financial institutions.
