Green Tree Hires Head of Business Development

Green Tree hired Patricia Cook will be joining the company as executive vice president in business development.

Cook, who will report to President of Green Tree Keith Anderson, will be responsible for directing Green Tree's business development effort as well as launching new business initiatives that are complementary to Green Tree's core servicing platform.

Before joining Green Tree, Cook was an executive vice president and chief business officer of Freddie Mac where she was responsible for the single-family, multifamily and investment and capital markets divisions as well as the corporate functions of mission and business operations.

"Patti's experience and contacts in the mortgage market acquired over the last 30 years make her a superb addition," Anderson said. "She joins a team with tremendous depth and experience in mortgage servicing."

"I am thrilled to be joining Green Tree. It's a great team and a great product which is critically important to the mortgage market in these turbulent times," Cook said in a company release.

Before joining Freddie Mac in August of 2004, Cook was managing director and chief investment officer for fixed-income at JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management.

Prior to JPMorgan, she held similar positions at Prudential Investment Management and Fisher Francis Trees & Watts. She started her career at Salomon Brothers in fixed-income sales and trading.
