Global Hunter Adds Restructuring Cohead

Global Hunter Securities added a new managing director and opened an office in Los Angeles, the banking and securities services firm said Tuesday.

The firm hired Steve Sebastian as cohead of financial advisory and restructuring services.

Sebastian was most recently a group cohead with financial advisory firm Chanin Capital Partners, which focuses on distressed financial advisory.

Prior to that, he was a senior managing director with Bear Stearns and a managing director in the merchant banking group of Deutsche Bank.

Sebastian will join Jeff Zolkin, who serves as the other cohead of financial advisory and restructuring services, at the new Los Angeles office. Zolkin is a veteran of Jefferies and Houlihan Lokey.

Firm Chairman and CEO Daniel Conwill IV said that the L.A. office marks a milestone in the expansion of the firm’s business.

Global Hunter also has offices in New Orleans, Houston, Newport Beach, Calif. and Hong Kong.
