A fire in the Exhibit Hall of the SF Vegas 2026 forced the organization to close the room for the rest of the conference.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to reports at 10:45 pm on Monday, February 23, Stephanie Wheatley, Clark County's deputy director of communications and strategy said in an emailed response. The electrical fire activated two sprinklers that involved three exhibitor booths, Wheatley said, adding that no fire personnel or civilians were injured.

In a notification sent out to attendees and posted to social media by columnist Stephen Gandel, conference organizers said exhibitors will be relocated to satellite booths throughout the Aria Resort & Casino Convention Space.

"We are grateful to the emergency professionals and the Aria staff for their swift response," according to an emailed response from Walt Cronkite, director of communications for the Structured Finance Association. "SFA, the Aria, and local emergency managers are working closely to mitigate the damage."

The SFA, which winds down its conference on Wednesday, February 25, did not report any injuries in its statement Tuesday afternoon. It also shifted conference meals to a location near the main registration area and in the SFA Braindate Lounge in the Proper Eats Food Hall.
