Wells Fargo Securities announced today that Robert J. Fernandez joins as head of the international debt capital markets group based in London.
He will replace Bryant Owens who returned to the U.S. to expand the bank’s coverage of depository institutions within investment banking and capital markets' financial institutions group.
Fernandez reports to William Ingram, head of the high grade debt capital markets group.
Fernandez led the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa region debt capital markets team for BNP Paribas, based in London, prior to joining Wells. Before BNP, he led the cross-border and domestic debt origination team in Africa for Standard Bank.
He began his career in investment banking with JP Morgan, where he spent 22 years covering clients across sectors in emerging markets.
