Cantor Hires Fixed-Income Head

Cantor Fitzgerald hired a former Gleacher & Co. credit chief to help lead its fixed-income group, the firm said today.

David Pichler joins the New York-based firm as cohead of credit fixed income. He will serve as cohead with Adam Vengrow and oversee all fixed income credit sales, trading and desk analytics.

Pichler was most recently cohead of Gleacher’s investment-grade and hybrid business. He previously managed RBC’s U.S. credit trading group and was Citigroup’s cohead of global credit.

The firm also announced that it added former Citadel Securities credit trading cohead Ron Adzima as a managing director within credit trading focused on hybrid, preferred and Tier 1 parts of the capital structure.

It also named Terran Miller as a managing director covering all parts of the utility sector. Miller was most recently a managing director with Knight Capital Americas.

Cantor has had several staff changes this year in its high yield and leveraged finance groups. In May the firm expanded its fixed-income, high yield and leveraged finance coverage by hiring a three-person team from Chapdelaine Credit Partners. Last month, Cantor’s head of high yield bond sales, Mike Brennan, left to join Citigroup.
