Cadwalader Expands in Asia with Partner Hire

Rose Zhu has joined Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP’s Beijing corporate group as a partner, the law firm announced today. She is the fourth partner to join the firm's Asia practice since 2012.

Zhu joins Cadwalader from K&L Gates LLP where she was a partner specializing in capital markets, mergers & acquisitions and bank financing transactions. She has advised clients such as China Development Bank, Sinochem, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, CITIC Bank and Postal Savings Bank of China, among others.

She has also advised several investment banks such as China International Capital Corporation, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Macquarie.

W. Christopher White, Chairman of Cadwalader said Zhu’s appointment to the firm further positions Cadwalader’s practice to advance in both Beijing and China as a whole. The firm's growing Asia practice was recognized last month in the  2013 edition of The Legal 500 Asia Pacific guide as a leading law firm in the areas of private equity, capital markets, and structured finance and securitization. Hong Kong partner Jeffrey Chen was recognized as a leading lawyer in the area of structured finance and securitization.
