Broadpoint Taps Deutsche's Zucker

Broadpoint Capital added Brian Zucker as a managing director in its debt capital markets division, the company announced today. The move is part of the New York-based firm’s larger expansion of its debt capital markets group.

Zucker was most recently head of high yield cash trading with Deutsche Bank Securities. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he worked at Goldman Sachs, where he was vice president of high yield trading. He previously served as an associate high yield and corporate bond trader at BancBoston Securities and Lehman Brothers.

Since last year, Broadpoint has added a number of fixed-income executives, expanding its credit trading business with recruits from Bear Stearns, Barclays, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. The firm also launched a repurchase desk in its MBS/ABS trading division. A company spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
